So the packing begins...

'Only the essentials' is the idea behind this packing malarkey. However I prefer to go with the idea that if there's a small chance that at some point over the next 5 months I may want something then it can be packed! 

 

With the help of very handy stuff sacks (nod to aunty Amanda) I have impressively managed to fit everything that I want into my backpack plus space for airport purchases in my hand luggage/day bag. Only a mere 15kg in weight (could be worse). 

I'm sure things will come out and things will be added between now and departure but it's becoming real now, much excited :D
